Shountrade National School Open Night was a wonderful success and we were very proud of our pupils and teachers as we welcomed parents of new pupils to our school. Our Infant Teacher, Ms. Dore & Learning Support Teacher, Ms. Ryan, made a joint presentation to the parents and it was very well received. This was followed by JEP Project display by 6th class, Recorder mini-recital 4th & 5th and Creative Writing & Technology presentation by 3rd.
New parents had an opportunity to interact with our very pleasant, polite and enthusiastic, articulate students! The night ended with the choir performing two songs as the Parents Council provided refreshments! It was indeed a night where our school, pupils, teachers and parents presented in a very positive light and we hope the new and prospective parents enjoyed their evening.
If any prospective parents missed the Open Night, please assure them they may make an appointment to visit the school on another occasion.
